To be completely honest, not knowing a lot about my extended family inspired me. I grew up hearing stories about numerous family members but it was rare to come across a picture of them to allow me a way to put a face to their name. As a child I’d see piles of photo albums in the homes of friends and hear them reminisce about these amazing memories they have from a single photo. As I became an adult I realized that I truly love the sentimental value that photographs can provide for intangible things. There’s so much you can take away from creatively curated photo or even just candids.

I am a self-taught photographer. While it’s been a hobby for over 10 years, I started building my professional portfolio in 2021 in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was stationed there for 4 years while serving in the United States Army. As a part time hustle I worked with aspiring models, entrepreneurs, and companies to deliver headshots, lifestyle photography, and product photography. In the meantime I’ve also spent a significant time traveling the world to capture beautiful landscapes and cultures.

I am a practicing Nichiren Buddhist. Because of this practice I am here today doing what I love. Being Buddhist is surprising to most people I come across but, I see it as a way to talk about my mission in this lifetime: World Peace. It only takes one individual to make a change.

Witnessing clients light up after seeing the final images from a photoshoot is one of the most rewarding moments as a photographer, as it signifies the genuine joy and satisfaction they feel seeing themselves captured beautifully.
